I've just started noticing that a lot of secular songs can be applied to a person's journey with God. Not all of the lyrics, but a lot of them. It's like Andrew Farley says in his book "The Naked Gospel", we need to live the Christian life so that it feels like Jesus is just below our skin (or something to that effect).
I wished I had the guts to live it out in that way, but I'm afraid of what may come out!
"The tough thing about Christian spirituality is that you have to mean things. You can't just go through the motions or act religious for the wrong reasons... After all, if we are going through religious motions to get people to think of us as religious, praise us and all that, we are receiving our false redemption from a bunch of people who are going to be dead in fifty years. This is a shabby replacement for an eternal God."-Donald Miller

The Beginning
Where to start? Do you find "religion" as frustrating as I do? I've attended just about every denominational church there is and it seems like they are like eating Chinese food. It tastes good and every Chinese restaurant is different, but you are still hungry 2 hours after you leave. Is this what God has intended?
